Maria

Maria brings a wealth of experience and a passion for helping others to Eye Health Centre. Originally from Manila, Philippines, she immigrated to Edmonton in 1990 with a background in public relations. Maria earned her designation as a registered optician from NAIT in 1997 and continues to find joy in helping patients select frames that fit their needs and style. In 2015, Maria fulfilled a lifelong goal by participating in an optical mission trip to Albay, Philippines, where she provided much-needed optical care to underserved communities. Outside work, Maria enjoys exploring the Edmonton River Valley with her husband, visiting her daughter on the West Coast, trying new restaurants, travelling, and singing at family gatherings.
